Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Professional communication skills, both oral and written, in Arabic and English.
- Organizational skills and proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis as assigned by the CFO.
- Manage accounting transactions.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Administer payrolls and control income and expenditure.
- Oversee and perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Prepare and review journal entries for month-end accruals and adjustments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciles bank statements and other accounts.
- Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, and financial statements.
- Audit financial transactions and documents.
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement), in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analyze financial statements to assess financial performance, and support informed decision-making.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Coordinates with other departments to collect necessary information for closing procedures.
